There it is: the new ambulance!!

In August 2022 we made a call for donations to be able to purchase a new ambulance for Sengerema Hospital. The old ambulance was more than 30 years old and often had many defects. He was now more in the garage than he was ready for his task. The suspension was also barely functioning, so that the patient arrived at the hospital with his sick and aching body, bumping and colliding over the unpaved roads. Of course, that doesn't help the recovery.

Fortunately, thanks to your enthusiastic and generous donations and a gift from wild geese in December, we had the money together and the new car could be ordered.

There are quite a few formalities, but now it's really there: the new ambulance can be used. The driver proudly entered the grounds of Sengerema Hospital under the watchful eye of Sister Marie José. The right stickers are on their way, but patients and doctors obviously don't care. From now on they can rely on a reliable ambulance in which the patient can be transported safely and smoothly. Thank you very much for your generous gifts. We are another great step forward in improving the care for the people of the Lake District.
